Hi I am Nick the owner of Walkease and I offer a dog care service across Surrey and the surrounding areas.

Nobody likes the thought of their dog being alone all day, this is why I started Walkease, I can care for and walk your dog if you are at work, going away or just simply cannot give your dog the exercise it needs.

Whether its hour long 1 to 1 dog walks or fortnightly home stay pet care, I can make sure your dog and property remain safe whilst you can’t.

About Me

Having personally owned dogs since the mid 80s after begging and pleading to walk and look after a puppy, my dad finally gave in 😊 We were the proud owner of Sophie, a placid beautifully natured 12 week old golden retriever.

My love and passion for dogs began!

Moving on a few years into my 20s after leaving home. I decided to rescue a dog from Battersea, the love of my life Daisy May. A small ball of mischief and joy picked me to look after her and become my best friend and companion for life!

Being a Staffy cross who adopted the nickname Crazy Daisy turned into a massive responsibility for me. After months of puppy training classes we became inseparable. At that time I worked in construction as a self employed tiler. Once fully trained she had her own place in the van and travelled with me from job to job. We were living the dream with countless breaks for walks and cups and bowls of tea. She was one of the boys at work jumping in and out of anyone’s van she could find.

Unfortunately due to a change of contract at the time, like all good things it came to an end and I was not able to take her to work anymore. She retired early bless her ha ha. So I had to look into dog walking services whilst I went to work.

Having personally employed dog walkers during that time, I can fully understand the situation both as an owner and dog walker! Meeting and trying to gage if they are the appropriate people to take care of your baby is not easy.

I knew from the get go a corporate dog walking company would not be the right move. Being a rescue dog she had separation anxiety and some issues (like all of us humans at times) infact she thinks of herself as one I rekon 🤷🏻‍♂️

I needed to personally meet and vet the right man or woman for the job !!  To ensure both of our peace of mind and happiness. Scary and worrying times back then as I recall but we got there in the end.

Moving on a few years I sufferd a back injury at work and was advised by the doctor to take some time off work but importantly keep active, so I did. To bring in some cash I started dog walking for friends and family. During this time my back issues along with my mental health started to improve.

Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life a close friend told me.

My love for dogs sometimes over people (especially within the construction industry) slowly built into a career move for me and  I LOVED IT and still do.

So… if your still with me on my journey I decided to take on dog walking full time and started WALKEASE.

Dog walking aside I wanted to progress and move forward doing something I LOVE. I am currently studying to be a dog trainer through IMDT (institute of modern dog training).

This will not only benefit me but also WALKEASE LTD as a company enabling our family business to offer more services.
